ITV and Disney Expand Content Pact with Hulu’s ‘The Stolen Girl’ & ‘Amanda Knox Tale’

ITV and Disney are expanding their collaboration in the UK, enhancing their content-sharing agreement. This expansion will see two Hulu original series broadcast on ITV1, enriching the channel’s programming options.
Upcoming Broadcasts on ITV1
The first series premiering is The Stolen Girl, which debuts tomorrow. This drama, produced by Quay Street Productions and Brightstar, originally launched on Disney+ in April 2022. It tells the gripping story of a mother whose daughter disappears after a sleepover, leading to a journey filled with deception and family secrets.
Following this, The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox will also air on ITV1 later this year. This series offers a dramatized account of the infamous murder case that drew global attention, delving into critical themes like media scrutiny and public perception of justice.
Content-Sharing Framework
- Both series will be branded under ‘Disney+ presents a Hulu Original’ on ITV.
- This partnership reflects a growing trend of local TV networks collaborating with international content providers.
- Last year, Disney+ and ITVX launched initiatives like ‘Taste of ITVX’ and ‘Taste of Disney+’, showcasing selected content from each other.
Statements from Executives
