Canadian speedskater Valérie Maltais has achieved remarkable success at the 2026 Milano Cortina Games. She secured a bronze medal in the women’s 1,500 metres, marking her third long track medal in this event.

At 35 years old, Maltais has demonstrated exceptional talent and perseverance. Earlier in the games, she won bronze in the 3,000 metres and collaborated with teammates Ivanie Blondin and Isabelle Weidemann to clinch gold in the women’s team pursuit.
