Battlefield 6 Seasons to Avoid Delays After Season 2 Setbacks

Season 1 of Battlefield 6 kicked off with the game’s launch. However, the delay of Season 2 by nearly a month raised concerns about the future timing of subsequent seasons. Currently, only 50% of the seasons have been released as scheduled, suggesting a potential trend of inconsistencies.
Insights from DICE on Season Delays
Phil Girette, a producer at DICE, addressed the setbacks in a recent interview. He acknowledged the challenges faced during the launch of Battlefield 6, stating that while the launch was smoother than in previous releases, it still demanded significant effort.
Girette emphasized the importance of delivering polished content. He explained that the team decided to take additional time to refine the planned content for Season 2 to meet players’ expectations. He noted, “Once you plan out seasons, many factors have to be considered, including marketing and timing.” This multi-faceted approach aims to ensure that future seasons are released punctually.
Looking Ahead: Season 2 and Beyond
Season 2 is set to debut on February 17 and is expected to continue until mid-May. This season features two distinct phases, each spaced one month apart. Players will likely experience the excitement of Phase 3 starting May 17.
