Women’s Singles Figure Skaters Compete in Short Program

The Winter Olympics in Milan Cortina has spotlighted the women’s singles figure skating competition. On February 6, the event commenced at the Milano Ice Skating Arena, featuring South Korean skater Shin Ji-a. This marked her Olympic debut in the team event.

Shin Ji-a’s Journey

Shin Ji-a, a 17-year-old rising star, triumphed in the national team trials held in January. This season marks her first at the senior level after an impressive junior career. She secured four consecutive silver medals at the world juniors from 2022 until 2025. Shin also won silver at the 2024 Winter Youth Olympics.
