Gudas recalls a pivotal moment in Czech sports history. On October 4, 2008, he witnessed the New York Rangers play the Tampa Bay Lightning in Prague, marking the NHL Premiere Series. This game not only captivated fans but also solidified Gudas’ dream of playing professionally. In 2010, he was drafted by Tampa Bay in the third round.
Since joining the NHL in the 2012-2013 season, Gudas has played for various teams: the Lightning, Philadelphia Flyers, Washington Capitals, Florida Panthers, and Anaheim Ducks. He stands 6 feet tall and weighs 208 pounds, known for his physicality on the ice. Since 2012, he ranks second in hits, with 3,205, only behind Matt Martin.

As a veteran player, Gudas brings experience and leadership to Team Czechia.
