Chris Hemsworth Teams Up with Egerton, Beetz in NYC Crime Film ‘Kockroach’

Chris Hemsworth is set to star alongside Taron Egerton and Zazie Beetz in the upcoming crime film Kockroach, filmed in New York City. This exciting project is produced by Andrew Lazar, known for his work on American Sniper.

Hemsworth replaces Channing Tatum, who stepped away from the role due to scheduling conflicts. Production is scheduled to begin in April 2024.

Synopsis

Kockroach tells the story of a mysterious stranger who rises through the ranks of New York’s criminal underworld. He transforms into a formidable crime boss in a city where power rules.

The film is based on a novel by William Lashner and directed by Matt Ross, known for Captain Fantastic. The screenplay is written by Jonathan Ames, with revisions by Ross. Christina Weiss Lurie joins Lazar as a producer.
