Ex-Lonsdale Director Joins SES to Fuel Expansion Efforts

Mark Heath, formerly of Michael J Lonsdale, has been appointed as the pre-construction director at SES. This move is part of SES’s strategy to enhance their southern operations. Heath brings over 30 years of expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) estimating and bid leadership.
Key Appointment in SES’s Expansion Strategy
In his new role, Heath will oversee southern tendering, estimating, and early client engagement. His impressive background includes senior positions at Lonsdale and Phoenix ME, making him one of the most qualified professionals in the pre-construction field. This leadership addition is crucial as SES prepares for significant upcoming projects.
Strengthening Leadership Team
The appointment of Heath complements SES’s broader investments in leadership. He joins the Engineering South board alongside Luke Boyhan, the recently promoted commercial director. Boyhan, who became part of the company in 2021, previously served as regional commercial director.
- Heath will focus on southern tendering and client engagement.
- Boyhan will manage commercial performance across the southern region.
- Both leaders aim to increase turnover beyond £500 million.
Ambitious Growth Plans
SES is determined to expand its footprint in commercial development, fit-out, and life sciences. The company is currently executing three major commercial projects for Mace in London. Despite having projects extending to Bristol, London remains the core of SES’s operations.
The substantial investments in leadership and operations aim to bolster future growth and enhance client relationships. SES is poised to capitalize on its expanding project pipeline, further solidifying its reputation in the industry.
