Port Vale Signs Veteran Striker Andre Gray After Turkey Stint

Port Vale has bolstered its attacking options by signing veteran striker Andre Gray on a contract until the end of the current season. The 34-year-old forward most recently played for Turkish club Fatih Karagumruk, which he joined a year ago after a brief tenure with Plymouth Argyle.
Andre Gray’s Impressive Career
Gray brings with him an impressive career portfolio. Over the years, he has netted more than 150 goals across various leagues. His previous clubs include:
- Luton Town
- Burnley
- Brentford
- Watford
In addition to his club success, Andre Gray has earned 13 caps for the Jamaican national team, showcasing his international experience.
A Strategic Signing for Port Vale
Manager Jon Brady expressed enthusiasm regarding Gray’s signing, noting his extensive experience and remarkable goalscoring ability. “He’s got a wealth of experience, and his goalscoring record speaks for itself. It’s fantastic to have him on board, and I know he’s raring to go,” Brady stated.
Filling the Gap Left by Cole
Gray’s arrival comes at a crucial time for Port Vale, as the team seeks to fill the void left by Devante Cole, who transferred to Luton Town last Saturday. With Gray’s skills, Port Vale aims to strengthen their attack as they navigate the remainder of the season.
