Branson Invited Epstein’s ‘Harem,’ Offered PR Advice, Emails Reveal

Newly released emails from the Epstein files reveal that Sir Richard Branson had correspondence with the late Jeffrey Epstein. In a September 2013 exchange, Branson expressed his desire to see Epstein again, humorously noting he should bring his “harem.” This phrase, reportedly used by Epstein, was defended by Branson’s team, stating he would not have used it had he known the full context.

Branson’s Public Relations Advice to Epstein

During the same correspondence, Epstein sought Branson’s input on a public relations issue. Branson suggested that if Bill Gates publicly acknowledged Epstein as an advisor, it could mitigate Epstein’s past controversies. He noted the importance of framing Epstein’s history and emphasizing that he had learned from his past mistakes.

Discussion of Private Island Meetings

The emails also touched on prior discussions from April 2013 regarding a visit to Branson’s private island, Necker Island. Epstein’s assistant inquired about including Bill Gates’ associate, Boris Nikolic, and mentioned bringing along two Russian women.

  • Branson’s team acknowledges two brief meetings with Epstein in April and September 2013.
  • Both meetings were reportedly organized by an unnamed American entrepreneur.
  • During the second meeting, Epstein arrived via helicopter with three adult women, who did not participate in business discussions.

Epstein reportedly referred to these women as his “harem” and mentioned his past legal issues, seeking Branson’s public relations counsel.

The Branson-Epstein Relationship

According to a spokesperson for the Virgin Group, interactions between Branson and Epstein were minimal and occurred over a decade ago. These meetings were primarily in settings such as a charity tennis event. The Virgin team conducted due diligence on a donation from Epstein, which revealed serious allegations.

As a result, the Bransons declined to accept the donation and opted not to further engage with Epstein. Branson has since condemned Epstein’s actions and supports justice for the victims, asserting that had he known the complete details, there would have been no contact at all.
