Inditex Strengthens Yorkshire Footprint with Stradivarius and Pull&Bear Launches

Inditex, the Spanish retail powerhouse, is expanding its presence in South Yorkshire with the introduction of two popular brands: Stradivarius and Pull&Bear. This move will significantly enhance the shopping experience at Meadowhall, where these youth-focused retailers will establish flagship stores.

New Flagship Stores at Meadowhall

The upcoming openings will increase Inditex’s footprint at Meadowhall to over 70,000 square feet. This expansion follows the existing stores of Zara and Bershka already operating at the center.

Details of Pull&Bear and Stradivarius Launches

  • Pull&Bear: A 13,000 square foot store will occupy a prime location on Meadows Hall’s Lower Level High Street. It will offer a full line of menswear, womenswear, accessories, and footwear, featuring the brand’s latest global design concept.
  • Stradivarius: This store will span 8,200 square feet and focus on womenswear, footwear, and accessories. This marks Stradivarius’s debut in the region.

Both stores are set to open in the summer of 2026, further solidifying Meadowhall’s role as a major shopping destination.

Significance of the Expansions

The dual-signing represents the third regional debut for Inditex at Meadowhall, following Bershka’s introduction in late 2024. Zara also added to its presence with a major upsize last year, showcasing a new store layout.

Growth and Investment at Meadowhall

According to Richard Crowther, Retail Leasing Director at British Land, this double deal demonstrates strong leasing demand at Meadowhall. Last year, the center signed new leases totaling over 300,000 square feet, attracting £47 million in investments from various brands.

Looking ahead to 2026, more than 25 brands have already committed to additional investments, totaling £8 million. This ongoing collaboration with Inditex emphasizes the center’s appeal as a testing ground for flagship stores outside London.

Meadowhall’s Continued Evolution

As of 2025, Meadowhall celebrated its 35th anniversary while reinforcing its status as a prominent retail hub. Inditex’s investment reflects the center’s continued significance in the retail landscape.
