Canada Reveals Bobsleigh Team for Milan-Cortina 2026

Canada’s bobsleigh team for the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics has officially been announced. The selection, revealed by Bobsleigh Canada Skeleton and the Canadian Olympic Committee, features a talented roster of athletes.

The Canadian team includes three women’s two-person bobsleigh crews and two additional entries for each of the men’s two-person, four-man, and women’s monobob events. The athletes selected represent various locations across Canada.

Women’s Team Roster

  • Cynthia Appiah (Toronto, ON) – Pilot
  • Melissa Lotholz (Barrhead, AB) – Pilot
  • Bianca Ribi (Calgary, AB) – Pilot
  • Kelsey Mitchell (Sherwood Park, AB) – Crew Member
  • Dawn Richardson-Wilson (Edmonton, AB) – Crew Member
  • Skylar Sieben (Cochrane, AB) – Crew Member
  • Niamh Haughey (Toronto, ON) – Alternate
  • Eden Wilson (Calgary, AB) – Alternate

  • Jay Dearborn (Yarker, ON) – Pilot

Cynthia Appiah and Melissa Lotholz are set to represent Canada in the women’s monobob event. For the men’s division, Austin, Dearborn, O’Higgins, and Murray-Lawrence will compete in the two-person bobsleigh.

Kelsey Mitchell, known for her achievements in cycling, will participate in her third Olympic Games, marking her first Winter Olympics. She previously won a gold medal in the sprint event at the Tokyo 2021 Summer Games.
