Doan Inks 7-Year, $48.65M Deal with Sabres

Josh Doan has signed a significant seven-year contract valued at $48.65 million with the Buffalo Sabres. This deal, which has an average annual value of $6.95 million, is set to take effect next season.

The 23-year-old forward has achieved personal bests this season. He recorded 15 goals and 20 assists, totaling 35 points in just 49 games. This performance marks his inaugural season with the Sabres.
Doan was on the path to becoming a restricted free agent after this season but opted for long-term security with the Sabres.
Trade and Acquisition Details
He joined the Buffalo Sabres following a trade with the Utah Mammoth on June 26. The Sabres exchanged forward JJ Peterka and secured Doan along with defenseman Michael Kesselring.
