A train traveling from Malaga to Madrid derailed and crashed onto an adjacent track, colliding with another train en route from Madrid to Huelva.

According to rail network operator Adif, the incident took place shortly after 18:40 local time (17:40 GMT), only ten minutes after the train departed from Malaga. In response to the crash, rail services between Madrid and Andalusia have been suspended. Adif is providing support for affected families by establishing designated areas at train stations in Atocha, Sevilla, Córdoba, Málaga, and Huelva. Approximately 300 passengers were on board the Iryo-operated train at the time of the incident.
