‘The Mortuary Assistant’ Film Debuts with Willa Holland & Paul Sparks Trailer

Epic Pictures, in collaboration with Dread, is set to release “The Mortuary Assistant,” a film adaptation of the well-known video game. The movie is scheduled to hit theaters on February 13, 2024. Following its cinema debut, it will be available for streaming on Shudder starting March 27, 2024.

Directed by Jeremiah Kipp, known for his work on “Slapface,” “The Mortuary Assistant” stars Willa Holland, recognized for her role in “Arrow,” and Paul Sparks, known from “Boardwalk Empire.” The film tells the chilling story of Rebecca Owens, portrayed by Holland. A newly certified mortician, she takes on a night shift at a mortuary, where she embalms bodies alone.
As Rebecca navigates the night, unsettling events unfold. She discovers demonic rituals and the dark past of her mysterious mentor, played by Sparks. The plot thickens as Rebecca confronts her own trauma while struggling to survive the night, which threatens to turn her into a vessel for possession.
