Chicago is bracing for additional light snowfall throughout the day. Snow is expected intermittently, particularly during the morning hours and potentially into the following day. However, there will be several periods without any snowfall.
Ground Stop at O’Hare International Airport
A ground stop was initiated at O’Hare International Airport at 6:36 a.m. due to adverse weather conditions. This stoppage is in effect until 9 a.m. In the previous 24 hours, seven flights were canceled at O’Hare, while Midway Airport reported no cancellations.

Today’s temperatures are anticipated to rise slightly above freezing. However, nighttime temperatures will drop into the mid-teens. Tomorrow, following a cold front, expect a significant chill, with high temperatures struggling to reach 20°F. Snowfall during this period will remain light.

- Tuesday: Slightly milder temperatures are forecasted, with highs around 20°F.
- Mid-Next Week: Temperatures are expected to remain below average but will approach 30°F.
