Pedro Vita, the communications chief of the Panamanian team, expressed gratitude to Bolivia for the warm welcome. He stated, “The team is motivated to face our first of two friendlies at the end of January.” The matches include a game against Bolivia in Tarija, followed by a fixture against Mexico in Panama City.

Despite their previous victory over Bolivia, which occurred during the 2024 Copa América in the United States, Vita emphasized that Panama does not consider itself the favorite. He acknowledged the respect that Central American teams have for South American opponents.
