Adin Hill Returns from IR to Face Leafs, Golden Knights Announce

The Vegas Golden Knights have received a significant boost with the return of goaltender Adin Hill from injured reserve (IR). Hill is set to make his comeback during the team’s match against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Adin Hill Activated from IR

On Thursday, the Golden Knights confirmed Hill’s activation from IR. This follows his absence due to a lower-body injury he sustained on October 20 while playing against the Carolina Hurricanes. Hill was unable to leave the ice without assistance from teammates and trainers.

Current Season Performance

This season, Adin Hill has recorded a 1-0-2 record, along with an .888 save percentage (SV%). Last season, he played a crucial role in the Golden Knights’ Stanley Cup victory, achieving an impressive 11-4 record and a .932 SV% during the playoffs.

In his NHL career, Hill has now played in nine seasons, racking up a 97-64-15 record and a .909 SV% across various teams, including the Golden Knights, San Jose Sharks, and Arizona Coyotes. He has competed in 30 postseason games, maintaining a 17-12 record and a .917 SV%.

Impact of Other Injuries

Alongside Hill’s return, the Golden Knights have placed goaltender Carter Hart and forward Brandon Saad on IR. Hart’s injury occurred during a recent game against the Columbus Blue Jackets, limiting his play to just 8:24 minutes. He has a record of 5-3-3 this season with an .871 SV% in 12 appearances.

Brandon Saad also sustained an injury against the Blue Jackets, resulting in his placement on IR. He has posted two goals and five assists for seven points in 39 games this season.

Golden Knights Standings

As of Thursday night, the Golden Knights hold a top position in the Pacific Division with a record of 22-11-12, totaling 56 points. The team’s potential with Hill back in the lineup could enhance their performance as they continue their season.
