Threatening Emails Place All Frisco ISD Schools in Secure Mode

Frisco Independent School District (ISD) experienced a significant safety incident after campuses received threatening emails on Monday. Administrators promptly alerted the Frisco Police Department and activated safety protocols, resulting in a temporary “secure status” for all schools.

Threat Investigation and Safety Protocols

In a letter sent to parents and staff, school officials emphasized their swift response. They confirmed that at this time, they believe the threat to be “non-credible.” However, as a precaution, the district requested that parents refrain from sending their children to school.

  • All students not yet on campus were advised to stay home.
  • Students already at school remained on site until law enforcement deemed it safe.

Commitment to Student Safety

The Frisco ISD reassured the community about its commitment to safety. “The safety and well-being of our students and staff is our highest priority,” the letter stated. The district indicated that its established safety protocols were promptly put into action and are functioning effectively.

Frisco ISD, in conjunction with the Frisco Police Department, takes threats seriously and addresses them with urgency. The district also reminded the community that making threats against schools is a serious legal offense under Texas law, potentially leading to severe consequences.
