Posthumous Vicente Fernández Album Set for Release

A new posthumous album featuring Vicente Fernández is set to be released in early 2026. This album, titled “Tributo al Rey con Banda,” will drop in February, coinciding with what would have been his 85th birthday.

“Chentillo,” Vicente’s eldest son, announced the album through an Instagram story. He expressed gratitude towards the artists involved, emphasizing that it will be a collector’s item for fans of his father’s music.

Previous Posthumous Releases

This will not be Vicente Fernández’s first posthumous album. In August 2023, his family and Sony Music released “Vicente Fernández le Canta a los Grandes Compositores.” This album paid tribute to composers like:

  • Felipe Valdés with “Tú Solo Tú”
  • Juan Gabriel with “La Diferencia”
  • José Alfredo Jiménez with “La Media Vuelta”

In November 2023, an additional album was launched, further extending his legacy. Vicente Fernández, who passed away on December 12, 2021, recorded around 200 songs throughout his career, with plans for more posthumous releases in the future.
