A significant operation by Mexican authorities has led to the seizure of assets linked to an FBI’s Most Wanted fugitive. This expansive crackdown resulted in the confiscation of luxury motorcycles, art, drugs, and Olympic medals.

Authorities conducted the seizures at four properties in Mexico City and its surroundings. They confiscated a total of 62 motorcycles, predominantly high-end models believed to be Ducatis. The operation also uncovered luxury paintings, artworks, various drugs, and two Olympic gold medals.
Details of the Seizures
- Location: Four properties in Mexico City and surrounding areas.
- Total motorcycles seized: 62.
- Brands: Primarily Ducatis.
- Other seized items: Luxury art pieces, drugs, and two Olympic gold medals.
Although the ownership of the Olympic medals remains uncertain, they draw attention to the fugitive’s past. The individual at the center of this operation is a figure named Wedding, who controversially represented Canada at the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics. There, he finished 24th in the men’s giant parallel slalom ski event and did not win any medals.
Connection to the FBI’s Most Wanted List
Wedding is currently featured on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list, with a staggering $15 million reward for information that leads to his arrest. This connection has led to comparisons with notorious drug kingpins from Latin America, such as Pablo Escobar and Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán.
Recent Asset Seizure
In a related event last month, the FBI also seized a rare 2002 Mercedes CLK-GTR valued at $13 million. This highlights ongoing efforts to dismantle a significant criminal network associated with Wedding.
As investigations continue, law enforcement is focused on uncovering more details regarding the seized assets and the connections to high-profile fugitives.
