Latvia Announces Biathlon Team for Milan/Cortina 2026 Olympics

The Latvian Biathlon Federation has announced its team for the Milan/Cortina 2026 Olympics. The selection features a total of eight athletes, showcasing both experienced participants and newcomers to the Olympic arena.

Meet the Latvian Biathlon Team for Milan/Cortina 2026

Leading the men’s team are Andrejs Rastogujevs and Baiba Bendika. Notably, Rastogujevs has established himself as a prominent figure in the sport. Joining him are three other male competitors: Renars Birkentals, Rihards Lozbers, and Edgars Mise.

On the women’s side, Baiba Bendika also stands out. She is joined by Estere Volfa, who made headlines by competing in the 2022 Winter Games at just 16 years old. Sanita Bulina and Annija Sabule are also first-time Olympians, marking an important milestone in their athletic careers.
