Ensuring safety is a top priority for this event. Multiple agencies, led by the Office of Emergency Management, will implement an “all-hands-on-deck” strategy. Security measures include:

  • Mobile camera trailers
  • Drones monitoring the Parkway and its surroundings

OEM Director Dominick Mireles highlighted the city’s significant investment in safety infrastructure. “In the last year alone, the city’s invested more than $2 million in anti-vehicle barriers for events just like this,” Mireles stated. Additionally, nearly $1 million has been spent on camera technology to enhance security.

The concert is free of charge, with no ticket requirements. However, attendees should be aware of road closures and parking restrictions starting Wednesday morning. Following New Year’s Eve, the Mummers Parade and additional street festivities will take place, further celebrating Philadelphia’s vibrant culture.

In a special highlight, Adam Blackstone will debut a new song titled “Brotherly Love” during the concert. Battalion Chief Brandon Wilson of the Philadelphia Fire Department reassured the public about the city’s readiness, stating, “We’ll be on location for the Mummers Parade the next day and two other street events. We’re ready to go.”
