Helicopter Collision Over New Jersey Kills 1, Injures Another

In a tragic incident in New Jersey, a midair collision between two helicopters has resulted in one fatality and one critical injury. The accident occurred over Hammonton Municipal Airport on a Sunday morning.

Emergency responders received a call regarding the crash at approximately 11:25 a.m. Hammonton Police Chief Kevin Friel reported that firefighters quickly extinguished the flames engulfing one of the helicopters involved.
Helicopter Models Involved
The collision involved two helicopters:
- Enstrom F-28A
- Enstrom 280C
Both helicopters contained only their respective pilots at the time of the incident. One pilot lost their life, while the other was transported to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Hammonton, the site of the accident, is a town in Atlantic County, New Jersey, with a population of around 15,000 residents. It is situated approximately 35 miles (56 kilometers) southeast of Philadelphia and is known for its agricultural heritage.
