Power Outage Strikes, Impacting Hundreds

Severe weather conditions impacted power supply in Region 8 on Sunday evening. A cold front, accompanied by high winds, led to multiple power outages throughout the area. The North Arkansas Electric Cooperative reported that approximately 600 customers were affected as strong winds reportedly knocked down power lines.

The outages were reported in various counties, including:
- Independence County – 105 customers
- Sharp County – 13 customers
- Baxter County – 9 customers
As of 5:20 p.m., crews worked diligently to restore power to affected areas. Residents who experienced disruptions were advised to remain patient while repairs were completed. Adverse weather can significantly impact power systems, leading to widespread outages.
