Aiden Fink Represents U.S. Collegiate Selects in Spengler Cup

Aiden Fink, a forward from Calgary, is currently showcasing his talent at the prestigious Spengler Cup in Davos, Switzerland. He represents the U.S. Collegiate Selects, which is composed exclusively of NCAA athletes.
A Historic Tournament: The Spengler Cup
The Spengler Cup, established in 1923, stands as one of the oldest invitational hockey tournaments globally. This year, the tournament features six teams:
- U.S. Collegiate Selects
- Team Canada
- HC Davos (Switzerland)
- HC Sparta Praha (Czechia)
- IFK Helsinki (Finland)
- HC Fribourg-Gottéron (Switzerland)
Unlike the World Junior Championships, the Spengler Cup includes players of all ages and nationalities, with the exception of Team Canada and the U.S. Collegiate Selects.
Aiden Fink’s Performance
This tournament marks a significant return for Fink, who has recently recovered from an upper body injury. He is in his third season with Penn State, having delivered an impressive performance last season with 53 points (23 goals, 30 assists) in 40 games. So far this season, he has recorded nine points in nine games.
In the U.S. Collegiate Selects’ opening match against HC Davos, Fink made a notable impact by contributing two assists, helping secure a 5-3 victory. This marked the team’s first-ever win at the Spengler Cup.
Additional Predators Prospects
In addition to Fink’s participation, seven other Nashville Predators prospects are showcasing their skills at the World Junior Championships this season:
- Brady Martin (Canada)
- Cameron Reid (Canada)
- Jack Ivankovic (Canada)
- Teddy Stiga (USA)
- Ryker Lee (USA)
- Viggo Gustafsson (Sweden)
- Daniel Nieminen (Finland)
The Spengler Cup continues to attract top talent and offers a platform for emerging players like Aiden Fink to shine on an international stage.
