Father Locates Kidnapped Daughter via Phone’s Parental Controls, Authorities Report

Authorities in Texas reported a remarkable case of a father using parental controls to locate his kidnapped daughter. On Christmas Day, a 15-year-old girl from Porter was reported missing after taking her dog for a walk.

The family’s alarm was raised when the teenager did not return home. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office responded to the case, detailing the sequence of events leading to her rescue.
Tracking Down the Missing Girl
The girl’s father utilized the parental controls on her phone to track her location. This led him to a secluded area in Harris County, approximately two miles from their home in Porter.

Rescue Details
Upon arrival at the location, the father discovered his daughter and her dog inside a maroon pickup truck. A 23-year-old man, later identified as Giovanni Rosales Espinoza, was present in the vehicle.
The man was allegedly partially nude and threatened the girl with a knife. Thankfully, the father managed to help his daughter escape from the truck before contacting law enforcement.
Legal Consequences
Giovanni Rosales Espinoza was apprehended without resistance and now faces serious charges. These include:
- Aggravated kidnapping
- Indecency with a child
He is currently held in the Montgomery County Jail without bond. As of now, it remains unclear whether he has legal representation.
