A missing man’s case in Thibodaux has taken a tragic turn. Tavares Coleman Jr., a 25-year-old from the area, was found deceased in a pond near his home on December 20. His body was located after he had been missing for six days.

The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office, led by Sheriff Craig Webre, confirmed the discovery of Coleman’s body. He had disappeared on December 14 after leaving his residence located on Line Street. At the time of his disappearance, Coleman left behind his wallet, cell phone, and vehicle.
