Heavy rainfall and strong winds have caused widespread power outages across the province. As of 10:50 AM on Friday, over 75,000 homes were without electricity, according to Hydro-Québec. The Montérégie region was the hardest hit, with around 19,000 households affected. Following Montérégie, both Montreal and Estrie reported outages affecting over 14,000 clients each.
Severe Weather Conditions
Wind gusts reached speeds up to 90 km/h in several southern Quebec regions. Hydro-Québec indicated that most power interruptions were due to vegetation coming into contact with electrical networks. This hazardous weather has caused significant disruptions throughout the area.

In response to the storm, more than 500 workers have been deployed to restore power as quickly as possible. Hydro-Québec expressed their apologies for the inconveniences and thanked customers for their understanding during this critical time.
