Toronto police have launched an investigation following an incident involving a TTC bus that struck a pedestrian early Friday morning in Etobicoke.

The collision took place around 5:54 a.m. at the intersection of Evans Avenue and The West Mall, which is close to Sherway Gardens.
Injuries and Response
A female pedestrian sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was subsequently transported to a hospital by Toronto paramedics.
Following the incident, the TTC bus remained at the scene while police initiated their investigation. A TTC spokesperson expressed concern for the pedestrian’s well-being and indicated support for both the police inquiry and the bus operator involved.

In the wake of the accident, several road closures were enacted. These include:
