Bills Add Kicker Michael Badgley to Practice Squad

The Buffalo Bills have officially added kicker Michael Badgley to their practice squad. This announcement came on Tuesday, and Badgley will don the jersey number 32 with the team.

Michael Badgley’s Performance History

Badgley has prior experience in the NFL, having played for the Indianapolis Colts earlier this season. During his time with the Colts, he participated in seven games and achieved an impressive success rate on field goals. Specifically, he converted 10 of 11 attempts, equating to a 91% accuracy rate.

Field Goal Success Rates

  • 40-49 yards: 4 of 4 (100%)
  • 50-59 yards: 2 of 3 (67%)

In total, dating back to the 2021 season, Badgley has successfully kicked 56 out of 65 field goal attempts, boasting an overall accuracy of 86%.

Injury Update on Matt Prater

The addition of Badgley comes as a strategic move for the Bills. Head coach Sean McDermott recently shared that kicker Matt Prater is dealing with a quad injury. Prater is expected to be out on a week-to-week basis and will miss the upcoming Week 16 game against the Cleveland Browns.

Roster Changes

To make room for Badgley, the Bills have released cornerback M.J. Devonshire. This decision highlights the team’s proactive adjustments in response to their current roster needs.
