Powerball Details
The Powerball drawing takes place at 7:59 p.m. Arizona time on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. Tickets can be purchased for $2 each.
How to Play Powerball
- Select five numbers from 1 to 69 for the white balls.
- Select one number from 1 to 26 for the red Powerball.
- You can choose numbers manually or let the lottery terminal select them.
There are nine ways to win in Powerball, including:
- 5 white balls + 1 red = Grand prize
- 5 white balls = $1 million
- 4 white balls + 1 red = $50,000
- 4 white balls = $100
- 3 white balls + 1 red = $100
- 3 white balls = $7
- 2 white balls + 1 red = $7
- 1 white ball + 1 red = $4
- 1 red = $4
Power Play Option
For an additional $1 per play, players can activate Power Play to multiply non-jackpot winnings. This can increase prizes up to ten times, depending on the jackpot size.
Claiming Lottery Winnings
Prizes up to $100 can be redeemed at all Arizona Lottery retailers. For winnings between $100 and $599, retailers can also redeem these amounts. However, prizes over $599 must be claimed at Arizona Lottery offices or via mail.
