A tragic car crash in Lakewood, Colorado, has resulted in the death of a young man and left two minors in critical condition. It involved an SUV driven by 22-year-old Andrew Logan Miller, who was reportedly speeding when he collided with a bus carrying a wrestling team from Central High School of Grand Junction.

The collision impacted a total of sixteen individuals, with significant injuries reported among them. Among the injured were three siblings traveling in the SUV driven by Miller. They have been identified as:
- Julio Gonzalez, 18 (deceased)
- Analelly Gonzalez, 17 (critical condition)
- Christopher Gonzalez, 14 (critical condition)
Julio Gonzalez was declared brain-dead following the crash, as confirmed by his mother, Suleyma Gonzalez. She expressed her deep sorrow, stating, “I didn’t want to believe it until the second testing showed no blood flow to his brain.”
Background of the Victims
According to Suleyma, her children were exemplary students and involved in the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC). She mentioned that two of them were on the verge of graduating this year, highlighting their disciplined nature and good character.
Driver Arrested and Charges Filed
Miller has been arrested and faces multiple charges including:
- Vehicular assault (seven counts)
- Speeding over 40 mph above the limit
- Reckless driving
- Child abuse (two counts)
- Reckless endangerment
The ongoing investigation suggests that speeding significantly contributed to the crash. Suleyma confirmed that Miller was in a relationship with her daughter and expressed belief that the crash was accidental.
Organ Donation and Future Plans
Julio Gonzalez’s organs will be donated, as he remains on life support while hospital staff search for suitable matches. Suleyma described his desire to help others, stating, “He wanted to give to the world.”
