Nashville Game: Projected Lineup for Dec. 11

In a significant move for the St. Louis Blues, Robby Fabbri is set to don the Blue Note (No. 9) for Thursday’s matchup against the Nashville Predators, marking his return since October 2019. The game will take place at Bridgestone Arena, starting at 7 p.m. Central Time. This signing highlights the Blues’ response to a series of injuries affecting their forward lineup.
Projected Lineup for Dec. 11: Blues vs. Predators
Robby Fabbri rejoined the Blues on a one-year, two-way contract following a stint with the AHL’s Charlotte Checkers. The decision was partly influenced by the team’s current injury woes, which include notable players such as:
- Jordan Kyrou
- Jimmy Snuggerud
- Nick Bjugstad
- Nathan Walker
- Alexey Toropchenko
Fabbri was originally drafted by the Blues as the 21st overall pick in 2014. After a trade sent him to the Detroit Red Wings, he also played for the Anaheim Ducks and had been trying out with the Pittsburgh Penguins prior to his return to St. Louis.
Fabbri’s Impact and Comments
Fabbri expressed enthusiasm about his return, noting the fond memories he created during his previous tenure with the Blues. “I loved my time here, a lot of memories here, so just very excited to be back,” he shared.
Head Coach Jim Montgomery is optimistic about Fabbri’s contribution. He placed Fabbri on a line with Pius Suter and Dalibor Dvorsky during the morning skate. Montgomery praised Fabbri’s known offensive capabilities, stating, “This guy has over 100 goals. His speed, smarts, and tenacity should complement those two guys.”
Additionally, Hugh McGing is expected to make his season debut with the Blues, skating on a fourth line with Oskar Sundqvist and Aleksanteri Kaskimaki.
Fans can look forward to an exciting game as the Blues aim to navigate their current challenges and leverage Fabbri’s return against the Predators.
