FedEx Boosts Economy and Connectivity in Asia Pacific, Report Reveals

FedEx Corp. has unveiled its Global Economic Impact Report for fiscal year 2025, revealing its significant contributions to the economy, particularly in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. The report, produced in collaboration with Dun & Bradstreet, underscores the importance of FedEx’s global network in driving innovation and economic growth.

FedEx’s Economic Impact

In FY25, FedEx generated a remarkable $126 billion in direct and indirect economic impact globally. This figure is 1.6 times higher than the average impact of similar-sized companies, highlighting the extensive reach and influence of this logistics leader.

Significant Contributions in the Asia Pacific Region

  • FedEx’s operations in APAC have evolved over more than 40 years.
  • The company employs tens of thousands across 43 APAC countries.
  • In FY25, FedEx contributed approximately $5.7 billion to the APAC economy.

Of this amount, $1.6 billion was indirectly linked to vital sectors like Transportation, Storage, and Communications, where FedEx directly contributed 0.1%. Notably, the Transportation sector alone benefited by $510 million.

Enhancing Connectivity and Trade

FedEx continues to improve its network to facilitate trade in APAC. The company recently launched several new flight routes, including a direct service between Singapore and the United States. Additional new routes enhance connections from Guangzhou to various international destinations.
