Seagulls Secure Two New Signings

Weston-super-Mare AFC has made significant moves in the transfer market, securing two new signings to strengthen their squad. Both players bring a wealth of experience, promising to enhance the team’s performance this season.

Harry Signs with Seagulls

Harry, a 25-year-old midfielder, joins the Seagulls after accumulating nearly 100 appearances with Exeter City. His career has also seen him play for Dorchester Town, Taunton Town, and Yeovil Town.

Currently, Harry has participated in 11 matches for Truro City in the National League this season. Manager Scott Rogers expressed enthusiasm about this signing, especially following the recent injury of James Dodd.

Manager’s Praise

Rogers stated, “I’ve known Harry for a long time and have always admired his talent.” He acknowledged Harry’s strong loan performances at Taunton and Dorchester, emphasizing that Truro City allowed this transfer to benefit both parties.

The manager is hopeful that Harry will quickly become a fan favorite at the club.

Adam May Joins the Ranks

Completing the new signings is Adam May, who turns 28 today. May comes with substantial experience from playing at higher tiers, including stints with clubs like Portsmouth, Cambridge United, and Forest Green Rovers.

Last season, he made over 50 appearances for Forest Green Rovers as they reached the National League playoffs. After leaving the Gloucestershire-based club, he signed with the Seagulls earlier this week.

Manager’s Insight on Adam

Rogers noted that the club’s chairman was instrumental in highlighting May as a potential signing. He added, “Adie Britton made contact and facilitated a swift agreement.” The manager believes May will play a crucial role in the team, especially with the ongoing injury situation.

Looking Ahead

Weston-super-Mare AFC extends a warm welcome to both Harry and Adam. The club is optimistic about their contributions as they don the Seagulls’ colors in upcoming matches.
