Bachelor Alum Madi Prewett Embraces Role as Submissive Wife to Grant Troutt

Madison Prewett has openly discussed her journey into embracing the role of a submissive wife in her marriage to Grant Troutt. On a recent episode of her podcast, “Stay True,” Prewett shared her initial struggles with this concept, which she now regards as a fundamental aspect of her life.

Embracing Submission in Marriage

During the podcast, Prewett highlighted that understanding the dynamics of being a submissive wife posed significant challenges at first. However, she quickly found fulfillment in this role, stating, “Now, it’s, like, my favorite thing. I love talking about submission.”

Engagement Challenges

Prewett candidly discussed the difficulties she encountered during her engagement to Grant Troutt, which lasted three months. Both she and Troutt, who are now 29, faced numerous challenges, including the passing of Troutt’s grandmother. According to Prewett, this tumultuous period contributed to their growth as a couple.

The Excitement of Marriage

Despite the challenges, Prewett emphasized their excitement about marrying each other. “Maybe we were a little bit crazy, but we were just so excited to get married,” she reflected.

Navigating Purity and Boundaries

Prewett also opened up about her commitment to maintaining purity before marriage. She recalled how wearing an engagement ring made her feel as if they were already married, which tested her resolve. She encouraged engaged couples to establish boundaries and accountability partners to navigate this phase.

Lessons in Communication

Transitioning into marriage led Prewett to learn valuable lessons about unity and communication. “Fight to unite and not be right. That was one of the hardest things for me,” she shared, acknowledging her desire to always be correct, which often led to conflict.

Daily Life and Spiritual Growth

Prewett’s day-to-day experiences as a wife differed from her expectations. Initially, she imagined having quiet time together every morning; however, Troutt preferred solitude for his spiritual practice. This realization taught her the importance of seeking fulfillment from God rather than from her husband.
