Broncos Add Experienced WR to Practice Squad

The Denver Broncos have strengthened their practice squad by signing experienced wide receiver Elijah Moore. This decision follows Moore’s visit to the team’s facility earlier this week.
Elijah Moore’s Background and Career
Elijah Moore, standing at 5 feet 10 inches and weighing 180 pounds, was selected by the New York Jets in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft after a successful college career at Ole Miss. Over the past four seasons, he has played for multiple teams, showcasing his skills on the field.
- 200 receptions
- 2,162 receiving yards
- 9 touchdown catches
After spending two seasons with the Jets, Moore was traded to the Cleveland Browns, where he played for another two years. In the spring of this year, he signed a one-year contract with the Buffalo Bills. During his time in Buffalo, Moore recorded nine receptions for a total of 112 yards across nine games.
Roster Moves for the Broncos
To accommodate Moore on their practice squad, the Broncos will need to make a corresponding roster move. It is likely that one of the current receivers will be released. The two candidates for being cut are Michael Bandy, A.T. Perry, or Kyrese Rowan, with Rowan being the most probable choice.
The Broncos’ active roster currently includes five wide receivers: Courtland Sutton, Pat Bryant, Marvin Mims, Troy Franklin, and Lil’Jordan Humphrey. If Moore performs well, he may earn a promotion to the 53-man roster later in the season.
Moore now embarks on a new chapter with his fourth NFL team, eager to make an impact and seize this opportunity with the Broncos.
