Broncos Welcome Veteran Wide Receiver for Free Agent Meeting

The Denver Broncos are actively seeking to enhance their wide receiver lineup. Recently, they hosted veteran wide receiver Elijah Moore for a free agent meeting, as reported by the NFL’s transaction wire.

Elijah Moore’s Career Overview

Moore, standing at 5 feet 10 inches and weighing 180 pounds, was selected in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft by the New York Jets after playing college football at Ole Miss. In his first two seasons, he achieved impressive statistics with 80 receptions for 984 yards and six touchdowns.

In 2023, Moore was traded to the Cleveland Browns, where he continued to demonstrate his skills. Over two seasons with Cleveland, he recorded 120 receptions for 1,178 yards and three touchdowns.

Recent Developments

This spring, Elijah Moore signed a one-year deal with the Buffalo Bills. However, he only managed to secure nine receptions for 112 yards over nine games. He was waived last week to create space for new addition Brandin Cooks.

Broncos Roster Situation

As it stands, the Broncos have five wide receivers on their active roster:

  • Courtland Sutton
  • Pat Bryant
  • Marvin Mims
  • Troy Franklin
  • Lil’Jordan Humphrey

Denver’s roster and practice squad are currently at full capacity. Should they decide to sign Moore, adjustments will be necessary to accommodate him.

As the Broncos look to bolster their receiving corps, Elijah Moore’s experience and skills may provide the boost they need for upcoming games.
