First Gameplay Footage Reveals Red Dead Redemption’s Modern Upgrade

Rockstar Games is set to launch a modern upgrade of the iconic Western game, Red Dead Redemption, on December 2. This refreshed version will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2. Notably, early gameplay footage has already surfaced, showing the game running at 60 frames per second on PS5.

The first gameplay video, shared by GameRiot, features the initial moments of Red Dead Redemption showcasing enhanced graphics. The upgrade promises significant improvements, including:

- Resolutions up to 4K
Early Release and Discounts
Players in certain regions may already access the upgrade ahead of the full launch. As reported by PureXbox, the Xbox Series X|S version is currently offered at a 50% discount in New Zealand. However, it remains uncertain whether this promotional pricing will be available in other countries.
Free Upgrades for Existing Players
Those who own the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, or Switch versions of Red Dead Redemption can expect a free digital upgrade to their new systems. Additionally, players on PS4 and Switch will have the ability to transfer their saved game data.
Subscription Service Integration
The modern upgrade will also be included in PlayStation Plus and the GTA+ subscription service upon its release on December 2.
