Minneapolis Snow Emergency Details
Officials in Minneapolis have outlined specific parking rules effective for the duration of the snow emergency, which will last for three days:
- Day 1: From 9 p.m. on November 30 to 8 a.m. on December 1
- Do not park on either side of a Snow Emergency route until the street is fully cleared.
- Day 2: From 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on December 1
- Restrictions apply to even-numbered sides of non-Snow Emergency routes and all parkways until fully plowed.
- Day 3: From 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on December 2
- Do not park on the odd-numbered side of non-Snow Emergency routes until that side is completely cleared.
St. Paul Snow Emergency Information
St. Paul has also declared a snow emergency with its own set of regulations. Beginning at 9 p.m. on November 30, all streets labeled “NIGHT PLOW ROUTE” will be cleared overnight.
- Vehicles unmoved from night plow routes by the deadline will incur tickets and may be towed.
- On December 1, crews will begin operations on “DAY PLOW ROUTES.” If no night plow signs are posted, the route is deemed a day plow route.
- Vehicles not moved from day plow routes by 8 a.m. on December 1 will face similar fines and towing.
- The snow emergency is scheduled to last for 96 hours, concluding at 9 p.m. on December 4.
