A fatal shooting near Guildford Mall in Surrey has claimed the life of a man. The incident occurred late Friday night, prompting a swift police response.

Surrey Police Service (SPS) received reports of the shooting at approximately 11:30 p.m. Officers arrived at the scene, located near 152nd Street and 104th Avenue, where they discovered a man with life-threatening injuries.
Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation is being led by the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT). The motive for the shooting remains unclear, but preliminary findings suggest it was not a random attack or connected to extortion.

IHIT Sergeant Freda Fong confirmed that they are actively trying to identify the victim. The shooting occurred close to a gas station adjacent to the mall, a busy area in Surrey.
