Kevin Durant Confronts Amen Thompson: A Key Moment

In the critical play, Thompson approached Durant to set a screen. However, Durant waved him off, deciding to take on Orlando’s Tristan da Silva in a one-on-one situation. Durant explained, “Once I go rogue like that, we’re a new team… They haven’t seen me go rogue that often.” He acknowledged the learning process as they work to understand each other’s plays.

Durant’s performance in the game was stellar. He scored 35 points, along with six assists, five rebounds, and a block. His shooting stats included 13-for-24 from the field and a perfect 7-for-7 on free throws over 45 minutes of play. Meanwhile, Thompson contributed 12 points, 10 rebounds, and two assists in 39 minutes.

Rockets’ Winning Streak and Team Development

The Rockets have experienced a strong start to the season, winning five consecutive games and holding a 10–3 record. This success is attributed to Durant’s ability to score and create shots, alongside Thompson’s defensive strengths and playmaking skills. Alperen Sengun is also emerging as a key player, complementing Durant and Thompson well.
