Five Jaguars, including Travon Walker, Ruled Out for Sunday Game

In a considerable setback for the Jacksonville Jaguars, five key players have been ruled out for their upcoming game against the Arizona Cardinals.
Injuries Impacting the Jaguars’ Lineup
Defensive end Travon Walker, who was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, leads the list of absentees. Walker faced a knee injury during the previous match against the Los Angeles Chargers and did not practice throughout the week.
Other Players Ruled Out
- Brian Thomas Jr. – Receiver, ankle injury
- Anton Harrison – Right tackle, knee/ankle injury
- Hunter Long – Tight end, hip/knee injury
- Yasir Abdullah – Linebacker, finger injury
Both Thomas and Harrison will be missing their second straight game, adding further difficulty to the Jaguars’ offensive line. Additionally, tight end Hunter Long is experiencing a hip/knee issue, while linebacker Yasir Abdullah is sidelined due to a finger injury.
Player Status Update
In a somewhat positive development, tight end Brenton Strange is on the verge of a return after missing five games due to a hip injury. Strange is listed as questionable and must be moved from the injured reserve (IR) to the active roster by 4 p.m. ET on Saturday to participate in the game.
Furthermore, two cornerbacks, Jourdan Lewis (neck) and Jarrian Jones (quad), are also listed as questionable, adding uncertainty to the Jaguars’ defense.
Season Performance of Travon Walker
This season, Travon Walker has recorded 20 tackles and 2.5 sacks. Earlier in the season, he missed a game due to a broken left wrist that required surgical intervention. The Jaguars will need to compensate for these significant losses as they prepare for their clash with the Cardinals this Sunday.
