Fisher Secures Top-Ranked Class with Five New Signings

Head Coach Dan Fisher and the Pitt volleyball team have made a significant announcement regarding their signing class for 2030. Five outstanding athletes, including Ayanna Watson, Isabelle Hoppe, Jessica Smallwood, Lola Sageer, and Trinity Thompson, have committed to join the program. This group is noted as the highest-ranked class in the history of Pitt volleyball.

Ayanna Watson
Ranked fifth nationally, Watson has an impressive record as a three-time state champion and has amassed numerous accolades, including the Nevada Gatorade State Player of the Year award for 2024 and 2025. She holds the title of Nevada’s all-time kills leader.
Isabelle Hoppe
As the second-ranked setter in the U.S., Hoppe has consistently excelled at the high school level, earning multiple all-state and All-American honors. Her contributions to USA volleyball are noteworthy, having played for the U19 Continental Championship Team.
Jessica Smallwood
Smallwood is a powerhouse in Kentucky, recognized as the state’s top player. She holds numerous school records and is a three-time All-State player. Her accolades include being named 2025 Ms. Kentucky Volleyball.
Lola Sageer
Sageer has been a standout player at the state level, winning several awards and recognition for her performance. Her skills have made her a key player in both high school and club volleyball competitions.
Trinity Thompson
Ranked 51st in the nation, Thompson has an exceptional high school track record, leading her team to multiple state championships. She holds the Nevada all-time state assist record and is noted for her academic excellence.
