Elden Ring: Nightreign Launches First DLC in November

Elden Ring: Nightreign, the multiplayer expansion of the popular Elden Ring game, is set to release its first major DLC named The Forsaken Hollows on December 4, 2025. This announcement follows a trailer showcased during the recent State of Play event, highlighting new gameplay content.
The Forsaken Hollows DLC Features
The Forsaken Hollows will introduce:
- New Bosses
- New Characters: Nightfarers
- Enhanced Gameplay Environment: Shifting Earth
A key element featured in the trailer is a new area called The Great Hollow, which dramatically alters the landscape of Limveld. This area is filled with temples, towers, and crystals erupting from the earth.
New Nightfarer Characters
Players can expect two new playable Nightfarers:
- Undertaker: Primarily focused on strength and faith.
- Scholar: An arcane-oriented magic user.
Returning Bosses
The DLC also appears to revive familiar characters from the franchise, including:
- Artorias: A well-known figure from Dark Souls DLC Artorias of the Abyss.
A voiceover in the trailer hints at a connection to “the aftermath of the Long Night,” suggesting that the events of this DLC unfold after the Nightfarers’ triumph over the Nightlords.
Price and Expectations
The Forsaken Hollows DLC is expected to retail for $15.00, applicable for players who do not own the Collectors or Deluxe editions of Elden Ring: Nightreign. This DLC announcement comes after a period of excitement from fans eager for new content.
Since its initial release in May, Elden Ring: Nightreign has undergone various updates, including balance adjustments and the introduction of a duos mode. Players have expressed frustration over the limited content recently, prompting FromSoftware’s reassurances in a financial report and now with this DLC announcement.
As the launch date approaches, fans anticipate a return to the challenging gameplay and intricate lore that Elden Ring is known for. With The Forsaken Hollows, players can look forward to a mix of new experiences and the cherished familiarity of the Elden Ring universe.
