Dayne St. Clair Earns 2025 MLS Goalkeeper of the Year Honors

Dayne St. Clair, the goalkeeper for Minnesota United FC, has been honored as the 2025 MLS Goalkeeper of the Year. His impressive performance throughout the season has set him apart in Major League Soccer.
Outstanding Performance in 2025
St. Clair achieved remarkable statistics during the regular season, leading the league with a 77.93% save percentage. He recorded 113 saves and 10 shutouts, both career highs for him. Notably, he was the only goalkeeper to maintain a goals-against average of 1.00 or lower while also achieving a save percentage higher than 75%.

A Historic Achievement
St. Clair’s recognition marks him as the second Canadian goalkeeper to receive this award, following Pat Onstad, who won it in 2003 and 2005. He is also the second player from Minnesota United FC to earn this accolade, joining Vito Mannone, who won it in 2019.
His contributions significantly aided Minnesota United FC in setting new club records for wins (16), points (58), and goal differential (+17) in the 2025 season.
Additional Honors and Contributions
This season, St. Clair also earned his second career MLS All-Star selection. Off the field, he has been actively involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters Twin Cities, leading to his nomination for the Audi Goals Drive Progress Impact Award. In international play, he has been a vital player for the Canadian Men’s National Team, conceding only five goals and earning four shutouts in 2025.
Since the start of 2024, he has represented Canada in 13 matches as they gear up for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
