“Camerimage Film Festival Features ‘Sinners’ and ‘Hamnet'”

The prestigious Camerimage Film Festival in Poland is gearing up for its 33rd edition, showcasing a remarkable selection of films that underscore the power of visual storytelling. This year’s event is scheduled to take place from November 15 to 22, 2025, in Toruń, Poland.

Among the standout entries is Ryan Coogler’s “Sinners,” featuring the work of cinematographer Autumn Durald Arkapaw. This film delves into Black culture and blues music through a Southern Gothic lens, capturing the essence of 1932 Mississippi. Starring Michael B. Jordan as twin brothers, it reveals their journey of trying to restore the soul of their hometown through music and dance.
Another notable film in the lineup is “Hamnet,” directed by Chloé Zhao and shot by Polish cinematographer Łukasz Żal. This historical drama explores the early relationship between William Shakespeare and his wife Agnes as they navigate personal tragedy and artistic ambition in 1580s England.
