Bengals Enhance Defensive Line with Mafe

Boye Mafe, a second-round draft pick by the Seahawks in 2022, has shown considerable talent during his time in the NFL. Over the past four seasons, he recorded 20 sacks and played a significant role in Seattle’s Super Bowl run last season.

Additional Signings to Strengthen the Squad

In addition to Mafe, Cincinnati has also signed defensive back Bryan Cook, formerly of the Kansas City Chiefs, to a three-year contract valued at $40.25 million. This move reflects the team’s intent to bolster its defensive capabilities.

Cook’s Performance and Background

  • Cincinnati native
  • Started in all 46 games for the Chiefs in the last three years
  • Career achievements: Three interceptions and 238 tackles, with a high of 85 tackles in 2025

With these strategic acquisitions, the Bengals are reinforcing their roster as they prepare for the upcoming season, aiming for a competitive edge in the league.
