Patriots Promote Two Players to Active Roster

The New England Patriots have officially promoted two players, CB Miles Battle and RB Terrell Jennings, from their practice squad to the active roster.

Miles Battle

Miles Battle, 25 years old, stands at 6-foot-3 and weighs 197 pounds. He entered the NFL as a rookie free agent with the Kansas City Chiefs on May 5, 2024, after playing college football at Utah. After being released by Kansas City post-training camp, Battle joined the Patriots’ practice squad on October 15, 2024.

Battle made his NFL debut in the final game of the previous season against the Buffalo Bills on January 5, 2025. In that game, he recorded 2 tackles and defended 3 passes. After being released at the end of the recent training camp, he returned to the practice squad before this latest elevation.

Terrell Jennings

Terrell Jennings, 24 years old, is 6 feet tall and weighs 217 pounds. He signed with the Patriots as a rookie free agent from Florida A&M on May 13, 2024, starting the season on the practice squad. Jennings was elevated to the active roster for the game against the Houston Texans on October 13, 2024.

On December 21, 2024, he was signed to the 53-man roster. So far this season, Jennings has appeared in four games, accumulating 33 rushing yards from 13 carries. Similar to Battle, he returned to the practice squad after being cut post-training camp.
