Carson Wentz to Lead Vikings This Sunday

Carson Wentz is set to lead the Minnesota Vikings this Sunday against his former team, the Philadelphia Eagles. Head coach Kevin O’Connell confirmed on Friday that Wentz will be making his fourth start of the season.

Wentz’s Performance This Season

The Vikings have seen early success with Wentz at the helm. He has contributed to the team winning two of their first three games since taking over following J.J. McCarthy’s ankle injury. McCarthy is currently listed as questionable but has returned to practice on a limited basis, positioning him as the emergency third quarterback for the upcoming game.

Quarterback Situation

Rookie Max Brosmer will serve as the backup quarterback. Wentz, who faced a shoulder injury during Week 5 against the Browns in London, has fully participated in this week’s practices.

Wentz’s Stats

In his initial three games as a starter, Wentz recorded impressive statistics:

  • Completions: 69
  • Attempts: 100
  • Passing Yards: 759
  • Touchdowns: 5
  • Interceptions: 2

Injury Report

The Vikings are dealing with multiple injuries heading into the game. The following players have been ruled out or are questionable:

  • Out: Andrew Van Ginkel (neck)
  • Questionable:
    • Tyler Batty (knee)
    • Blake Cashman (hamstring)
    • Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins (hip)
    • Michael Jurgens (hamstring)
    • Brian O’Neill (knee)

As the Vikings prepare for their matchup against the Eagles, all eyes will be on Wentz to deliver a solid performance. His experience and recent form could be crucial for the team’s success.
